bonklers

bonkler
scientific name: volucris clarus
domains: substructio (sometimes kept as pets in pyramis)
domain of origin: substructio
intelligence: can barely reason
personality: benevolent
traits: their ball-shaped bodies, their wings, and antennae that glow

bonklers are bugs that are quite large in size, being about half a meter in diameter.

these creatures are nocturnal, hence their glowing antennae, but they can stay awake during the day if they so please. tamed bonklers usually do this.

they normally communicate using squeaking/chirping noises, with the pitch of said vocalizations determining their mood.

wild behaviors

bonklers will normally stay in a group of 3-28 bonklers, these groups being called "bleegles"

they will migrate every 2 weeks.

when a bonkler becomes 3.82917 years (1397.64705 days) old, the bonkler will stop whatever it was doing, and pivot towards the nearest object, before ramming into said object as fast as it can, flinging it backwards and summoning a new child bonkler.

taming a bonkler

to tame a bonkler, you must feed them grass with sugar on it, called sugared grass.

if you repeat this process enough, the bonkler will start following you, and become tamed.

taking care of one

having a bonkler as a pet is pretty easy, though there are some things that you need to take into account:

  1. you will need to take one outside for walks, or to use the bathroom. if you don't take your bonkler outside, it will get depressed, and it will start smashing into windows in an attempt to escape.
  2. if your bonkler is too rambunctious, it is recommended to get a harness for them.
  3. they normally eat grass, so you can get some potted catgrass for them and they will be fine.
  4. if they wake you up in the middle of the night, don't be surprised.
  5. they show affection by lightly bonking into you, hence the name, so don't get mad at them for that.
  6. ONLY feed them sugared grass AS A TREAT. they will get bloated and sick if you feed them it too much.

subspecies

bonklers have many different subspecies, which are listed below.

imagenamebehavior/facts
red bonklersred bonklers are bonklers who have evolved to resemble triangulators. red bonklers have the square mouth of a triangulator and a stretched right eye, and are slightly more calm. they are more common in pyramis.
blue bonklersblue bonklers are similar to red bonklers, as they have square mouths, but that's where the similarities end. blue bonklers have stretched eyes that point inwards, and an extra eye in their mouths. blue bonklers are very energetic and loyal, and will usually not hesatate to attack anyone who is harming their owner.
VOID BONKLERSnobody knows that much about void bonklers, other than their peculiar biology. their eyes have a striking resemblance to a triangulators' eyes, though scientists have gathered that this is a coincidence. void bonklers are very dangerous and violent, so if you see one, RUN.
